There have been so many things that have happend in the last month since my last post. I left for Russia on January 25th and the trip was amazing! I will be telling the story in future posts and layouts as I find the time, but in the meantime, you can read what Maryann wrote in a note on Facebook. So beautifully written! I got back on Feb 5th and it definitely took awhile to recover from the time difference.
On Feb. 12th, Ron and I celebrated our 16 year anniversary. We had a REALLY nice evening and I’m happy to report that we are still happily married after 16 years and I definitely consider myself blessed to have Ron as my husband. 🙂 I participated in the 3 Kits 3 Ways challenge at Designer Digitals and made this layout to celebrate:
I just love how it turned out! You can click on the image to see it larger and for supplies info.
And then, sadly, on Feb. 14th, Ron and I lost our baby in a miscarriage. I scrapped that too:
The journaling says:
We thought we would be meeting you around September 16th.
We were so excited because we really wanted you to join our family.
We’d been trying for your for months. Thank you for the joy you gave us
while we anticipated your arrival. I wouldn’t trade that.
And we can still anticipate meeting you someday.
But we are very sad that it will take longer than we thought.
And sad at the distressing way that things changed.
Your life, however, has always been in the Lord’s hands
and it comforts us to know that you are with Him now.
I’m so thankful to my friends and loved ones who have been praying for us and for your sweet messages of encouragement. The Lord has definitely given us His comfort! The last week has been rough physically and I look forward to feeling better and getting back into the swing of things.
