I’m not a blogger. I tried it once a couple years ago. That lasted one post. Gonna give it another shot and my goal will be to post at least once a month – who’s gonna wanna read anything I have to say more often than that? Not even me who’s probably the most interested in what I’m doing here, lol.
So I’ll start by introducing our kids while sharing some of my scrapbook pages. This is Holly who’s eight. This summer she wanted to cut her long hair. You can probably read the journaling closeup. Too bad the “after” photo is no good – the fatal flaw of this layout. But I still love all the layers, sanding, stamping, and inking.
This is Drew our 10- year old son. He loves videos games, watching football with dad, and generally being “cool”, as evidenced by this photo which is SO Drew. I asked him what words he’d used to describe himself and his list says “cool, sensitive, kind, loving, awesome, creative, entergetic, funny”. As Mommy, I definitely agree with “sensitive, kind, loving, and energetic”. Um, and “awesome” of course. Oh, and P.S. this design was a scraplift of a BHG “Make It Yours” sketch that I loved. Totally different in style from the layout about Holly, but if you haven’t noticed already, I’m all over the map with style. I love the freedom to create whatever I’m in the mood for, or what the photos speak to me.
That’s enough for now. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my stuff!
Well, Welcome to the world of blogging… again! So you are only going to post ONCE A MONTH! Oh my gosh. I’ve made it my goal to post once a DAY all thru the month of december. And i’ve actually posted “I don’t have anything to say today…” on one of my posts. ha ha ha. check it out and YOU leave a comment. my blog is at http://www.melaniedouthit.blogspot.com
you better carry around a tape player or leave messages on your voice mail when you are out and about and have something interesting to blog about. that way when you sit down to do it you’ll have a back up. boy – I’m a barrell of ideas today, huh. Anything to get out of doing a batch of assignments. ~melanie~

I love your scrapbooking work. It’s great! Welcome to blogging. One thing to remember: You run the blog, the blog does not run you. So when you want to express yourself, set goals, share laughter, post layouts, etc. you do it. I would love to stay up daily, but I have to live my life in order to blog about it! LOL I’ll be hanging around here, so keep up the great work.
Welcome to blogging! Your blog is wonderful and your work is beautiful. You have great things to share! If you stay connected to the 2Peas blogging threads, you’ll find plenty of inspiring challenges and will “meet” other bloggers and kindred souls. 🙂 Have fun!

Kathleen, so glad i visited with you. i checked out the inque site and have favorited it. as soon as i have some more stamping dollars put aside, i’ll be making an order. are you a rep? and should i place my order with you when i am ready?
I love that page with your daughter. I love the colors and stamping. Cute kids you have!
You do absolutely beautiful work. You may have inspired me to sit down and start scrapbooking again. I have so many pics to scrap and don’t know where to start. I have a couple of books done but it took a back seat with my wedding at the end of the year last year and now I have wedding, halloween, christmas and everything inbetween with 3 kids to scrap. I guess I will start at the beginning. Thanx for the inspiration.
I am moved to tears by your words. I’m at work and had to close my door and catch my breath. What an inspiring journey through life you are taking. I cannot imagine the courage it took to get through this. But isn’t our Lord amazing to bless you with that baby at such a time as this. I hope that your pregnancy continues to hum along and I know that your little one will be welcomed into your lives with so much love. BTW, your children are gorgeous, your SB pages beautiful and your blog is a delight. Oh, 8 yr. olds make the most awesome sisters to their sibling.
No blog, for me, tries it one day (moan groan) and just never could find the time for it.
God Bless you and your family
Erica
