Fall finally arrived in northern California. And as of yesterday, just like that, it was gone. It was cold, very rainy, very windy, and quite grey. Winter. As I write this, it’s completely dark already. My #1 pet peeve about winter. Woe is me when Daylight Savings goes away and it gets darker even earlier. It’s got to be the reason why fall is such a favorite season for so many people; because it’s never around long enough to fully enjoy. I’m glad I went out into the neighborhood on one of the gloriously beautiful fall evenings at sunset and took some pictures. I scrapped it too:

The Lord is magnificent and can be found in His creation!
And then I got the Nov/Dec issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine in my mailbox last week. November/December?! That means the holidays are almost here and 2010 is coming to a close! That’s just crazy. But it was definitely cool to see a couple of my layouts in that issue. I’ve got a one-page layout in the Sketch article and a two-page layout in the Reader’s Gallery. Go me!
Today it was announced that I am one of the contributors for the Log Your Memory book 2011 edition! I love my 2010 edition and it looks like 2011 is HUGE with all kinds of new things! So cool. You can check the Log Your Memory site as well as Ali Edwards’ blog for info about what these cool books have to offer.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 6th. It’s the Designer Digitals quarterly sale event with chats (and freebies!) all day long! l’ll be hosting the Embellishing chat at 5pm Eastern/2pm Pacific time.
Since I last updated the blog, I became the mother of a teenager! Drew turned 13 last month. And of course I scrapped it:

I usually post the images of all the scrapbooking I’ve done since my last post, but honestly, I just haven’t had that in me. This time, I’ll just post links to the galleries of my recent creations. You may check HERE and HERE! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

We share the same winter pet peeve… LOL. Nice post – thanks so much for helping spread the word about the Memory Logbook! I’m very excited to be able to include your beautiful work in this year’s edition!
Gorgeous pages Sweetie!!!!!!!!!! I adore your work!!! <3
Your LO’s are all so exquisite, Kathleen. I always enjoy each one of them. What a talent you are!!
My DH’s and my pet peeve, also. We hate the time change. Until I retired it was go to work in the dark and go home in the dark, too!! I especially hate the children waiting for the school bus in the dark. Seems so unsafe to us. I pray God’s safety for them.
Keep blogging. I love it!!
oh wow – beautiful photo of Drew but he looks SOO grown up! Great page, very 13.
I totally love your fall layout, especially the brisk bits on the edges. I am very jealous of your fall even if it was one day because then you went to cooler wintery weather. We have a cool front coming for one day Friday morning and our high will only be 80! I am happy about that, but then we are back up to 88-92 weather. I want FALL!
