I have tons of stuff to share with you. I’ll share a bunch of scrapbook layouts and I’ll tell you how I finally found out what’s wrong with me, but first I’ll share about my hair adventure.
I have naturally curly hair. And it’s a little crazy. But with a lot of product I can get a nice curly style and I do like my curly hair. However, it does get tiresome, and in it’s natural state with no product it’s really rather frizzy. My friend Heidi got a “Brazilian Blowout” and told me all about it and I liked her results, so she got me thinking…
Long story short, I saved up and got it done yesterday! One of the things I appreciated while trying to decide whether or not to do it, was getting first hand reports (before/after pics, videos, etc) from others who’ve done it. Lots of good information and I liked being able to see real people’s experiences. So I knew when it was my turn to do it, I’d also do the “before and after” thing and share it. I have two videos below and you can also see my scrapbook page about Valentine’s Day to see my “before” hair when I styled it properly.
So here ya go. I’ll be happy to answer anyone’s questions – just leave it in the comment section here and I’ll answer here as well as send you an answer via email.

So now for what’s wrong with me (well, just ONE of the things wrong with me
)
WHY have I only had three days in all of 2010 where I didn’t feel like I was constantly tired, in a fog, and even sometimes dizzy?! I finally saw the Dr. this week and the diagnosis…
allergies.
Yep, all this time and I never thought I had allergies in my life. But that’s what it is and it sure explains a LOT. I’ve been taking Loratadine (the generic version of Claritin – you can find it anywhere) and Friday, yesterday, and today have been my only “no fog” days this entire year. I feel soooooooo much better and I’m soooo glad to finally find out what it is and what I can do about it. Thank you, Lord.
Now for some scrapbook pages. I have a lot to share, so I’ll just give you the thumbnails and you can click on ‘em to see the large clear version.
“Grow” – a great photo of Holly!

“A Different Kind of Valentine’s Day” – about what my sister did for me on a day that started in a most dreadful way:

“Flying into Moscow” – just that; photos taken from the plane as I few into Moscow:

“Avast!” – Holly dressed up like a pirate for Halloween:

“My Sisters” – pics from 2009 of me with my two sisters:

Girl!! What a change!!! You were so dang cute before…but…after…cute, too!! But two different cutes!!! LOL
You are so special. I love the two videos. Great job doing those. The change is remarkable!!! What does DH think??
Love all you LO’s of course!! Left warm fuzzies on DD! You have been one busy scrapper, for sure. How do you do all you do with your family?? Must be VERY organized!!
Thanks for sharing you with us!!!
Hey you! Now I’ve heard your voice! How cool! Is this like a Keratin treatment? I’m having one this week – for my similarly textured hair.
Wish me luck. Yours came out amazing!
OMG! Your hair looks amazing! I wish they had that available in Colorado so I could get mine done. Wow! I love it.
LOVE the hair! And wow to the layouts.
Wowee, that’s gorgeous! Like Myra said, fun to hear your voice too:D
[...] on Saturday and I love it!! If you care to see my before and after videos, I posted them on my blog HERE. Have you bought any new clothes or new shoes or gotten your hair done or bought new makeup or…. [...]
Your hair looks amazing!! Wondering if you’ve had time to do a follow up video yet of your hair when you style it?
Shannon, no new video yet, but I love the results when I style it myself. Instead of it taking me well over an hour and LOTS of product, now it only takes me a half hour and I use just a little of the BB serum. And the results are awesome. So smooth and soft! I love it. I’ll do a new video soon. I was thinking I’d wait till about two weeks into it to make my first follow up video. I’ll let you know when I do! Thanks for the post!
WOW! It looks fabulous!!!!!!!! I have been thrilled with mine, as well. This stuff rocks!
Hey Kathleen,
I’m pretty amazed at the results – I’ve got curly/frizzy hair too and always have had the wiry bits off the sides and hairline too! I really wanted to grow my hair out again, because it used to be my shining glory, but with 3 kids it’s too hard to maintain, so I cut it all off. If I’d heard about this “brazilian blowout” beforehand, I think I would have tried it. I don’t think it’s come to Australia yet tho.
Good luck with it, it looks fab!
I love it! I love you! I love your blog! I hope that we get to see each other soon!!!
Love,
Julia
How is your holding up? I found a salon to do the Brazilian Blowout but I wanted to see how you liked your hair after a few weeks. Is it still straight? Would you do it again? Is it worth the money? I’d love to hear what you think before I have mine done.
Thanks!
Hi. I was wondering how your Brazilian Blowout held up? It looked beautiful in the video. I am a stylist in Pa and we are considering getting this product in our salon. I just want to read before and after stories first to see what people think after washing it a few times. Thanks, Sharon
