I’ve been wanting to learn how to digi scrap for awhile now. I just kept waiting for a class to come around that I could take. Life’s been busy though, and the “perfect class” and the “perfect time” just never happened. I was checking out Jessica Sprague’s site and found this video tutorial for creating a digital page from a template. This is exactly what I needed! Something easy to start with and I learned a lot of new things. I’ve been using Photoshop Elements for awhile now for photo editing and I’ve done some hybrid pages (putting text/title/brushes on a photo, or editing & printing digi elements to use on a paper layout) but there are still a ton of basics for digi scrapping that I just didn’t know, so this was a perfect start for me.
So, drumroll please….
Here is my first ever 100% digital layout!
Obviously, I made changes to the items provided in the kit to fit my photos/theme and switched out a couple things. I totally had a blast and I’m so excited about learning more! Next on my list is to take this Getting Organized with ACDSee online class. I don’t have many digi goodies yet, but already it was a pain to not be able to see what I had while trying to create my page and not have everything grouped by type and all. I think starting off with good organization will make the whole digi-creating WAY more enjoyable for me.
Eventually, I want to create a photo book using my digi pages. That should be fun! I know I have a lot to learn still, but I’m excited about this new creative journey. I’ll still be paper scrappin though. I’ve been working on Jaimee’s 1st Year mini album and I’ve also got some things that I’m not allowed to share yet, so stay tuned! 
oh wow! Look at you being all digi! I am really impressed because this is wonderful and I would never have thought it was a first attempt! Are you bad at anything??? LOL! Love the photos too, she is really looking more and more like mom.

Your first digi page?? It’s awesome! Far better than my first went. Thanks for the link to the organization class. I started organizing my digi files using ACDSee last fall, but need a boost to finish. (And should quit downloading more until I organize what I have! LOL) Looking forward to seeing more digi creations from you and Jaimee’s first year album.
