Whew, lots going on since my last entry.
Holly turned 9 on August 29th. We had a special mother-daughter day that included Holly getting treated at the Aveda spa at The Fountains at Roseville.

That place is way cool. Afterwards we both enjoyed watching the fountain show and getting a little wet. Perfect for the sunny day.

We were going to go to a Japanese restaurant for lunch too, but Holly decided she’d rather spend the time at the fountains before I had to get back to feed Jaimee. We both had a really fun time together and it was a special birthday celebration.
Drew and Holly started school on Sept 2nd.

I can’t believe Drew is in 5th grade and Holly is in 3rd. They both have really great teachers and it should be a fantastic year.
Then on the 12th, we did something we haven’t done in 2 years. We went on vacation! It was weird timing since the kids had just started school, but we had to coordinate with the only time Ron would be able to take off in the foreseeable future. So we went to Disneyland! We had such a great time.
Ron and the kids in front of the Tiki Room:

Jaimee didn’t like the sun in her eyes, lol, but it’s cute of Drew & Holly with the castle in the background:

We splurged on a lunch at the Blue Bayou. You can’t beat that atmosphere. Or the crazy delicious Cookie Boat dessert. We could have eaten five of those things:

a cute pic of Holly at California Adventure:

Drew got chosen to be in a show in front of the Golden Horseshoe. He was hilarious!!

The kids also did the Jedi Academy in Tomorrowland. What a very cool show. I just love the creativity at Disneyland. Here’s Holly battling Darth Maul:

This was just a cute pic of the kids haning out while we were getting ready to leave the hotel room after a mid-day break. Jaimee learned to sit up on her own while we were at Disneyland!

Jaimee also turned 6 months old while we were there. Here’s a pic I took of her in a Minnie Mouse dress that Susan Stringfellow got her. By the way, if you want to see awesome Disney scrapbook pages, check out her blog.

She’s just the sweetest and happiest little girl!
We got home from Disneyland late late on Sunday the 21st (technically, Monday the 22nd). Drew’s 11th birthday was on the 23rd. His choice for his birthday celebration was to go to John’s Incredible Pizza with his best friend Calvin. Ron took them, so I didn’t get any pictures, but he had a fun time and came back with a lava lamp that he bought with his tickets, lol.
So now it’s back to reality. And if you’ve been keeping up on the news, what a strange reality it is right now.

WOW, what a wonderful trip, and the pictures are amazing. Please – I can’t believe how Drew and Holly have grown, and oh that munchkin Jaimee. Beautiful family!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Sandi
Wonderful photos! Looks like you all had a blast at Disneyland.
Jaimee is getting so big! The photo of all three in front of the castle is so sweet.
And, yes, this has become a very bizarre reality. Looking forward to a trip to WDW in a few weeks and a timeout from reality.
Kathleen! I was in Anaheim (stayed at the Fairfield Inn Disneyland Resort – just across the street from Disneyland) for a show – I got there on Friday Sept 19th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had I known you were there I would have tracked you down!
I ended up leaving early. I spent Tuesday in the ER and flew home Wednesday (I was supposed to leave Friday).
So great to hear an update. Drew and Holly are getting so big – and I can’t believe Jaimee! I was just thinking of emailing you this morning, but hadn’t gotten around to it yet.
