It’s been awhile since I scrapped or even made a card so while the baby is sleeping and Ron is watching NASCAR in here (the bonus room) I thought I’d clean up my desk & scrapping area. I was browsing through the current (June/July ‘08 ) issue of Scrapbook Retailer magazine and I saw this ad:
What’s cool about it is that I noticed one of my projects featured in the ad!
I was a contributor for the “Show It Off” book. I have 7 projects published in it and that “Love” collage frame is one of them. I showed the ad to Ron and he thought is was cool too. Which makes it even better. *grin*
Thanks to everyone for your kind comments and emails lately! It means so much to me. While things got even worse the day after I made that last post (I got laid off from my job!) we’re more encouraged now about the immediate future than we were a few weeks ago. Please keep us in your prayers though. The next couple months will be very challenging.
In other news, Drew & Holly went to Hume Lake for camp the week of the 15th. And then they spent all this week at their aunt & uncle’s house where they got to go to vacation bible school with their cousins who are the same ages as Drew & Holly which is great. Ron is going to leave in just a bit to pick them up. I miss them so much and can’t wait to see them! Jaimee got her first cold, poor little thing. She was up at 2am with a fever last night. She is feeling better today but is definitely not herself. Here’s a picture I took of her last week in her Bumbo seat. Those things are so cool!
WOW! How cool must that have been to open that up and see your frame on the ad! Congrats!! Jaimee is adorable! That’s a real bummer that you got laid off! Everything happens for a reason, I guess! Little Jaimee looks so serious in that photo! Hope she’s feeling better today. Sounds like Drew & Holly have had a busy, but very fun couple of weeks.

Hi Kathleen! Yeah, Jaimee and Nathan are only a day apart – how cool is that? And yeah we’ve got a bumbo too – Nathan had a haircut in his a few weeks ago. Congrats on your project being featured in the ad.

I wonder if the youth from our church were at Hume Lake at the same time as your kids? Our youth group sent around 90 kids I think, and 7 of them accepted Christ! Yeah!

Wow, she is growing up so fast! I hope she is sleeping a bit more for you. Sorry to hear about the job – but as I told someone close to me — next thing you know, you’ll be looking back and realizing that what you are doing now (in the future) is so much better than what you were doing {back} then.
